The Sale Process
- After a buyer has completed the payment, you will be notified via email. The buyer will also receive a digital Certificate of Authenticity
- We will then check in with you to confirm artwork availability and shipping information. We will support with shipping logistics and be there throughout the shipping process
- Choose your preferred payment method to receive payment after the artwork has been delivered to the buyer

Ship a Sold Work
- After confirming the package details and shipping information, please prepare the artwork for shipping
- Ensure to implement protective methods based on the nature of your artwork, whether it is a rolled canvas, framed, or a large sculpture piece
- Don't forget to sign and date the piece!

Master the Invoicing Tool
- You can create an invoice from the ⊕ button in the website header or in the bottom navigation of the app
- Select Create an invoice or Quick sell and proceed with the steps!
- Select Save to send the invoice later, Send to send to the buyer immediately, or Collect payment to process the invoice from your own device for in-person sales
HOW TO
Process Sales with Tap to Pay
- From the invoice creation page, select Collect Payment to proceed to the Payment page.
- From the Payment page, scroll to In-Person Payment and select Tap to Pay.
- Give Cohart app access to your Location Service and Bluetooth (while using the app).
- When a Tap to Pay screen appears, tap the buyer's contactless payment method on top of your screen (for iPhone) or on the back (for Android).
HOW TO
Certificate of Authenticity
- After making a purchase on Cohart, the buyer can see their purchase in the Purchases page.
- Click on the context menu button of the order, and select View digital certificate, a new page should open.
- The buyer can follow the instructions on the page to add the COA to their phone wallet.

How do I price my artwork?
Collectors pay for shipping at checkout, with Cohart offering low, flat-rate shipping fees—so you don’t need to factor shipping costs into your pricing. Just set a fair price that reflects your work’s value while keeping these fees in mind.
What payment methods does Cohart support?
We offer several payment options to make art purchases accessible to everyone. Buyers can choose from:
- Credit or debit card
- Apple Pay or Google Pay
- Tap-to-Pay for in-person sales (using the Cohart app)
- PayPal
- Klarna's "Buy now, pay later" option
- Wire Transfer
How does shipping work for buyers outside my country?
Cohart offers flat-rate shipping on all sales on Cohart at 8% for international buyer, with extra 10% charges for oversized artworks. Cohart provides sellers and buyers with comprehensive shipping support and tracking updates every step of the way.

Can I use the invoice for both in-person and online sales?
Yes! The Cohart invoice can be used to instantaneously process in-person sales, or act as a secure payment portal for your online sales. Whether you are requesting a deposit for a commission, charging shipping fee, or processing a large order, the Cohart invoice can do it!
